LUIS C. MONSERRAT
Chairman & President

Mr. Monserrat brings with him 24 years of business and management experience in the areas of finance, marketing and sales, and general management. He has held numerous senior management positions. The majority of his career was spent in multinational companies such as Citibank and Coca-Cola Company. He has experience as an overseas expatriate with Coke as well as with E&J Gallo where he was responsible for the Latin American and Caribbean operations. It was through his short stint at PPGI (a local developer that pioneered in the development of condotels in the Philippines) that he acquired an appreciation and understanding of the condominium hotel business and its growth potential.
   

PETER H. STEVENS
Executive Director

Mr. Stevens is a German national who has spent his entire career spanning 40 years in the hotel management profession. He has been General Manager for numerous hotels both locally and overseas such as Saipan Intercontinental Hotel, Orchard Hotel in Singapore , Makaha Resort Hotel in Hawaii , Century Park Sheraton and Grand Boulevard Hotel in Manila , and The Lafayette Hotel in Boston . In addition, he was the Food & Beverage Director in Asia Pacific (22 hotels) and the worldwide Training Supervisor for Intercontinental Hotels. He now resides in Manila , being married to a Filipina, and is active at the Board and Excom levels with HII.

   

JAMES D. BLACK
Director

Mr. Black is an American national with 38 years of management and business experience. The lions share of his career was spent in the pharmaceuticals industry as an expatriate for major multinationals. He spent 17 years of his career here in the Philippines – first as General Manager of Searle Phils., then as General Manager of Squibb Philippines . When Bristol Myers and Squibb merged, he went on to head up the operations for Bristol Myers Squibb in Mexico , and then in Argentina . He is now semi-retired, but is active at the board and Excom levels with HII.

   

MICHAEL JOSEPH, JR.
Director –Advisor for Human Resources

Mr. Michael Joseph, Jr. has worked for Dale Carnegie Training in Hong Kong . His competencies include training, organizational development, and behavioral profiling. He has assisted in developing and conducting public and customized courses for international banks such as Hong Kong Bank, Dao Heng Bank, Citibank, and deluxe hotels which include Grand Hyatt and The Mandarin. Mr. Joseph has extensive public speaking experience and has spoken to audiences in the United States , India , Singapore , Hong Kong , Germany , England and Philippines . He has also co-hosted in the Philippine television program “Sharing in the City”. Furthermore, he has worked for over 18 years for various Christian organizations and is Associate Editor of Kerygma Magazine.

   

AGNES A. LUNA
Residence Manager – Parque España Residence Hotel

Ms. Agnes Luna is a Certified Public Accountant with over fifteen years of financial and operational experience in the hotel industry. She has worked in both the property and corporate levels of Stettler, Inc., Pathfinder Holdings and Century International Hotels. Ms. Luna also has had operations responsibilities in both condominiums and hotels as well as leisure resorts and city center properties.

   

ROSANNA G. BUSTAMANTE
Executive Assistant

Ms. Rosanna Bustamante is an experienced development statistician, Certified Public Accountant and experienced Sales Manager with Friday’s Beach Resort-Boracay, Stettler Hotels and Century International Hotels. She was also the Reservations Manager of Galleon Gateway Cruises, Inc. Ms. Bustamante has ten years of experience in the industry and has recently specialized in the development activities of new properties.

   

JOEL R. MUYCO
Head – Building Management

Eng’r. Muyco is a registered mechanical engineer. He brings with him seven (7) years of extensive experience in property management. He has served as building engineer for Makati Prime Tower Suites for three (3) years. He was appointed as building manager for the Somerset Millenium Makati, before he joined HII.

   

 MONICA R. PUNZALAN
Head - Marketing

Ms. Punzalan is an experienced hotelier in the field of sales & marketing. She started her career in hotel sales in one of the first residential hotels in Makati under the management of Olympia Housing, Inc. She joined Raintree, Inc., where she had intensive training in Corporate & Banquet Sales, as well as the Front Office Department. She also has worked with Johnson & Johnson Phils., before joining HII.

   

JEANETE VILLAMIEL
Head - Housekeeping

Ms. Villamiel started her career with Regines Suites as a Front Desk Staff. She was promoted as the Officer-in-charge where she handled the hotel operation. She joined Taal Vista Hotel as the Assistant Executive Housekeeper in 2003. She was part of the pre-opening team wherein she open the 128 guestrooms. Before she joined HII, she was transferred to the Events Department as the Events Manager.

   

EDMON PAGILAGAN
Head - Engineering

Eng’r. Pagilagan is a registered electrical engineer. He started his career in hotel maintenance with Century Park Sheraton. He had an extensive training in property maintenance with Bayview Park Hotel, Primetown Century Tower Makati & Century Citadel Inn Makati.
